Service terms
LedgerMantle is a business bookkeeping service operated by Havard Solutions, LLC. By creating an account or joining a workspace you agree to these terms.
Your workspace
Use LedgerMantle for records you have permission to enter and share. Keep your password and authenticator secure. Review whom you grant access to and remove access when it is no longer needed. You remain responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the records you enter.
Subscription, billing, and cancellation
The Business workspace plan is billed in advance through Stripe for the term you choose at checkout: monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. Longer terms are offered at a lower price per month. Stripe Checkout displays the price and billing interval before you pay, and the same term renews until you cancel. You can update payment details or cancel at any time from the billing portal in your workspace. When you cancel, the workspace stays open until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further charges are made. Fees already paid are not refunded for a partial period, except where the law requires a refund.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it and emails you. A workspace whose subscription has lapsed is locked until a new subscription starts; its records are kept, not deleted. Export your records and receipts before cancelling if you will need them while the workspace is locked.
Access granted through a promotional or complimentary code follows the terms of the offer it came with. We may end access obtained with a code that was resold, shared beyond its offer, or acquired improperly.
Bookkeeping records and tax filing
LedgerMantle organizes the information you enter and prepares exports for review. It does not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice. Consult your accountant about classification, deductions, retention, and filings.
Accountant access
Workspace owners may invite an accountant with a one-time code. Invited accountants can view and export records but cannot edit them or change billing. Owners are responsible for whom they invite and for removing access when it is no longer needed.
Acceptable use
Do not use LedgerMantle to store records you have no right to hold, to probe or disrupt the service, or to reach a workspace you have not been invited to. We may suspend an account that puts the service or other customers at risk, and we will explain why where we lawfully can.
Availability and liability
We work to keep LedgerMantle available and your records intact, but the service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and may be interrupted for maintenance or by causes outside our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Havard Solutions, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits, missed filings, or penalties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes and ending the service
We may update these terms and will change the effective date above when we do. If a change materially affects you, workspace owners are told by email before it takes effect. If we ever discontinue LedgerMantle, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and keep exports available during that time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Havard Solutions, LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of that state.
